Plan Your Visit

Due to COVID-19, most of our events continue to be held online using Zoom. The safety of our congregation and neighbourhood is foremost in this decision. However, as of October, we are starting to offer some hybrid services which allow the entire congregation to be together in two contexts—in the building and on-line via Zoom. We are following the city guidelines in regards to the in-building services. Please check our events page to see what online and hybrid events are available and to register for in-building events.
Register in advance
You must register for all in-building events. There are 50 seats available for guests and volunteers. Registration closes 24 hours before the start time of the event. Please register early to avoid disappointment.

By registering, you are agreeing that you and all those you are registering:
  • have not travelled outside Canada in the last 14 days;
  • do not have COVID-19 or its symptoms;
  • have not had close contact with a probable or confirmed case of COVID-19.
These questions will be asked again when you enter the church to check in. If your answers change before the meeting date, please stay home as you will not be permitted to enter the church.

Arrival
  • Volunteers will be ready as early as 30 minutes prior to the meeting to check you in. Once the meeting begins, check-in will close. We want to be sure you arrive in good time!
  • Please use the front doors to enter; the back doors will be locked. Even if you own a building key, please do not use it for entry. Everyone will be checked in at the front doors—just follow the floor markers.
  • Tickets are emailed to registrants as confirmation of your order. Don’t worry about downloading or printing tickets; Melrose is not collecting actual tickets at the door. Eventbrite is a convenient way to register you and prepare for your safety.
  • Ticket cancellation. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your ticket so someone else can attend. Go online to Eventbrite before the meeting to cancel.

Before entry, please note
  • you must wear a mask or face covering (covering your nose, mouth, and chin) while in the church building. This is a City of Toronto bylaw requirement for all indoor public spaces, including houses of worship.
  • the services in the church building are livestreamed and your image may be seen in ‘real-time’ by those attending via Zoom. By registering, you agree to allow your image to be used electronically for the purposes of the service.
  • You will be assigned a seat and the seating will be carefully planned to maintain social distancing
  • There are no nursery or children's programs in the building. Children are welcome to attend, but they must sit and remain with a parent during the service. We do offer online Sunday School.

Following the service
  • The service is roughly 1 hour long and afterwards the pastor will dismiss everyone by rows. Normally, we love to stay and fellowship as a church, but current restrictions don’t make that possible and all attendees must exit the building right after the service.
