Right now Melrose is not offering an Alpha Course, but we would encourage you to attend one in your area. You can find a location by going to the Alpha Canada website (www.alphacanda.org) and searching by postal code for one near you.
What is Alpha?
Anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian faith. Adults of all ages are welcome.
Learning & Laughter. It is possible to learn about the Christian faith and have fun at the same time.
People meeting together. An opportunity to get to know others and to make new friends.
Helping one another. The small groups give you a chance to discuss issues raised in the talks.
Ask anything! Alpha is a place where no question is too simple - or too hostile.

What happens at Alpha?
- We have a great meal together as we unwind from the busy day.
- We are taught through a video or a brief talk on one of the following interesting subjects:
Who is Jesus?
Why did Jesus die?
Why and How should I read the Bible?
Why and How do I pray?
What about the Holy Spirit?
How can I overcome evil?
Why and How should I tell others?
Does God heal today?
What about the Church?
- After each talk there is a time in small groups to discuss any questions or issues arising from the talk. This is a time to get to know each other and learn together, and no question is considered too simple or too hostile.
