Our Pastor:

Dave Bielby has served the Christian church as a pastor for 27 years, mostly in Toronto, and joined us here at Melrose as our interim pastor on August 1, 2008. He has been married to Margie for 25 years and they have three children, Heather, Jennifer and Daniel. Pastor Dave desires for each of us to be rooted in the life of God in Jesus and to see the Holy Spirit forming faith and love in all of us.  He serves Melrose through teaching, pastoral care and collaborating with other church workers and leaders.

Our Ministry Assistant:

Ms. Pat Promney is in her seventh year on the staff at Melrose, although she has been a part of the church for most of her life. Pat brings a rich background of compassionate ministry, having served at Yonge Street Mission for 22 years in family ministries. Pat gives her time to Ladies’ Ministries, Prayer Co-ordination, and Bible Study, as well as filling out her week with all the office duties.

Our Church Board:

We have a great group of men and women who make up our board. Our elders are called to give spiritual oversight and direction to the church and join with our deacons, who are responsible for specific areas of the ministry, for a monthly time of discussion and prayer.

Our Congregation:

We come together from a variety of backgrounds and ages, families and singles, mostly from the local community, although a few drive in a little further. We work hard at making everyone feel like they belong in the Melrose Family!
